Vox AC30 awaiting overhaul
The cabinet was in a poor state and it was decided to completely restore this
classic
1960's amp. Since most parts are now available I thought I'd give it a go.
The first thing to do was to strip the amplifier down to just the cabinet then all the old tolex was removed, this took many weeks as it did not remove easily I found by using a paint scrapper heated up on a gas ring .Once it was red hot it easily cut its way and lifted the old tolex
